These series of engravings on English churches were a follow-up to Neale’s successful volumes on English country houses. They follow the same format, namely a detailed series of engravings with carefully detailed descriptions of each church. Like all of Neale’s works the engravings are detailed and well executed. In this collection he also features some of the lesser-known churches and records some interesting details that have been subsequently erased due to later renovations.
